This planter for shade will really pop out of the shadows with the blue/green iridescent sheen of a 'Metallicum' Japanese Painted Fern nestled in a fiery circle of trailing Scarlet begonia blooms of a rich, and velvety red.  These two focal plants are complemented by a Forever Red Heuchera and an annual Lobelia adding a delicate touch, winking through the large begonia leaves and blooms.
The painted fern and heuchera are tender perennials and can be planted out in a sheltered location but the tuberous begonia base will need to be lifted and stored as dormant to overwinter successfully.
The pictures shown of this planter are of the individual plants that are included within the mix.  It is very early spring and these are still growing but I will add a picture of the combination planter once they fill in a little bit more!
